Seven years ago a start-up contract catering company contacted us to outsource their accounts function. We took on their book keeping and designed a management reporting pack to monitor the business using Key Performance Indicators.
Now an established player in the catering sector their back office is fully outsourced to Vantis. We manage their payroll, process more than 150 sales invoices and 3,500 purchase invoices per month. A dedicated team is available to deal with all enquiries and requests. At a recent meeting Lexington directors acknowledged that initially Vantis Outsource was thought of as a short term solution until the company had grown to a certain level but now it has become such an integral part of the business that running an in-house finance function is no longer viable.
IEA Coal Research
IEA Coal Research was set up in 1975 as a collaborative project involving member countries of the International Energy Agency. It exists to promote understanding of coal issues, particularly clean coal technologies.
Having successfully outsourced their payroll to us for several years, the directors turned to us for help with their management information.
After a full review of the company’s existing book keeping and management reporting, we took over the entire accounts function. We set up appropriate procedures for reporting and control that reflected managers’ specific requirements.
Smaller firms have the most to gain from freeing up valuable management time. In small firms, management time is a premium commodity. Time spent labouring over something for which you have no training or little enthusiasm can be the most costly way to handle accounts.
