A human resources consultancy case study
A City-based publishing group was having difficulties with a downsizing and outplacement programme. It was facing several employment tribunal claims for unfair dismissal, including one claim of sex discrimination and another of race discrimination. Our human resources consultant helped to resolve the cases successfully. He also provided training for line managers in employment law and introduced new personnel policies, which included disciplinary and grievance procedures. Since his intervention, there have been no further claims.
