Interested in attending hospitality & leisure sector events?

Vantis' Hospitality & Leisure Group regularly hold events for hospitality and leisure businesses and clients.  These events are held in a variety of UK locations and address topical issues facing the hospitality and leisure industry.  For the list of forthcoming events please visit our events pages.

Some examples of past events include:

Vantis' Hospitality & Leisure Seminar, May 2007 - the annual Vantis seminar was once again kindly supported by Bob Cotton, Chief executive of the British Hospitality Association.  Bob was first to speak at this highly entertaining event, which saw Vantis provide an annual update on tax and VAT matters.  This was followed by Charles Campion, food writer for the Evening Standard, and Peter Boizot, founder of Pizza Express, providing an interesting insight into success in the industry.

Growing your business forum, January 2007 - an event for entrepreneurial hospitality business owners who have developed their business to where it is today but now need to decide where the business is going next.  The forum involved three of the Patron suppliers of the British Hospitality Association; Bevan Brittan, HSBC and Vantis.   The topics covered included: measuring your success; controlling where the business is going; growth versus profitability; incentives for key members of staff; retaining and attracting the right people and raising finance.  If you were unable to attend this event, but would like more information on the content covered please contact us to learn more.

Thames Valley Hospitality Seminar, October 2006this seminar provided hospitality businesses with important updates on key tax issues, including the tronc, potential refunds to staff benefits and VAT developments in the industry.  Other seminars like this will be held in locations outside of London, if you are interested to know about forthcoming events you can register for event alerts on our events pages.

An Inspector Calls: A Vantis Hospitality & Leisure Role-Play, October 2006 - in a series of role plays, this seminar examined the issues a business faces when visited by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).  HMRC have decided to take a ‘joined up’ approach when it comes to VAT and tax inspections. This means they will cover all the tax compliance aspects of your business in one visit.  This in turn will make the inspection much more invasive, so it is extremely important for you to be prepared and to know what to expect.  If this is an issue that is affecting your business, our tax & VAT experts will be more than happy to advise you - let us know your situation and contact details so our specialists in this area can help.

Vantis' Hospitality & Leisure Seminar, March 2006 - Bob Cotton, Chief executive of the British Hospitality Association spoke to over 120 attendees at Vantis’ annual seminar for members of the hospitality and leisure industry at the Commonwealth Club in London on 29 March 2006.  Further details on this event can be found on our events reviews page.
