Vaughn Chown was a senior officer of Customs & Excise where he assisted in the implementation of the VAT cash accounting scheme, before becoming a partner in Vantis. He has advised countless property clients on VAT optimisation, leading to substantial savings. Vaughn lectures on all aspects of VAT to professionals/businesses, in the UK and across Europe. He also writes extensively for Butterworths, CCH Croners and a host of trade magazines. He is an Associate of the Institute of Indirect Taxation and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Vaughn has substantial experience of dealing with Charity and Not for Profit clients, including complex VAT issues related to property, partial exemption, fund raising and other charity related VAT matters.
