    For unincorporated charities that are not required to have an audit;

    1. An independent examination is required when income of the charity is over £10,000.

    2. If the annual income is over £250,000 then the independent examiner must be a member of a professional body named in the Charities Act 2006.

    We have experts who carry out independent examinations for a large number of charities and would be happy to discuss your requirements in full.

  • Interim Management & Placement Services
    Has a key member of your team unexpectedly left your organisation?  Maybe your charity or not for profit organisation is going through a difficult time and you feel the need for an extra pair of experienced hands for a short period of time.  If either of these applies then you may like to consider contacting our Interim Management team to see how they can help.

  • Internal Audit & Risk Assurance
    SORP 2000 introduced a new requirement into the Trustees Annual Report, requiring the Trustees to make a statement confirming that “all major risk to which the charity is exposed, are identified by the Trustees, have been reviewed and systems have been established to mitigate those risks.”

    At Vantis, we run workshops for Trustees and executives to help map out the major risks facing the organisation; we then help turn this into a workable ‘Risk Register’. Furthermore, we can advise on the implementation/ monitoring of the Risk Register and help you devise/operate an effective system of internal control.

  • International Tax
    The success or failure of an international charity will often depend on its ability to attract suitable donors. In today's ever tightening fiscal environment, the governments of the world are becoming aware that charities do excellent work and consequently have introduced tax breaks to people who are prepared to contribute their funds to charities. Vantis' International Tax team has extensive experience in reviewing the international tax opportunities which may be available to both donors and charities so that they can continue their good work with the minimum of tax burden.
