Richard is a Chartered Tax Adviser with over 20 years’ experience of providing direct taxation advice to individuals and organisations.
For the past six years he has provided direct tax consultancy to charities and not for profit organisations and in particular has undertaken structural reviews of charities with a view to establishing and maintaining direct tax efficiency and Gift Aid reviews, helping to protect revenue streams and obtain additional recoveries from HM Revenue & Customs.In the wider not for profit sector Richard has advised clients on the impact of the underlying legal structure on their tax position.
Richards has advised organisations across the full spectrum of the sector but in particular has advised a large number of membership organisations including learned societies, religious bodies and organisations established by the commercial sector to protect commonly used protocols.
