Vantis, the AIM listed accounting, tax and business advisory group with offices based across the UK to include Marlow and Beaconsfield, is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Kids in Sport Golf Day. The event will take place at the Harleyford Golf Club in Marlow on 30 September 2008.

The Kids in Sport Trust was set up by Pam and Roger Budd in memory of their son, Julian, who sadly passed away last year at the age of 33 as a result of a rare condition called epiglottitis.

Julian was a very keen sports enthusiast and, in line with this, the Kids in Sport Trust has been set up to help schools in less affluent areas to encourage their children to participate in sport, where they would otherwise have not been able to do so.

Roger says: “Despite their enormous amount of enthusiasm, sadly many children today simply do not get the chance to participate in sporting activities due to their personal circumstances and lack of facilities.”

“The Trust looks to help make sport a reality for these children and supports both able and disabled youngsters. The areas of funding include the provision of sports equipment and kits, coaching, up-grading or the provision of facilities, transportation for disabled children to sporting activities and supervision where required.”

David Rankin, Managing Director of Business Advisory & Assurance at Vantis, adds: “We are delighted to sponsor this inaugural event and to support this charity that looks to bring happiness to so many children who would otherwise have not had the opportunity to truly discover the enjoyment of participating in sport”.

Other supporters of the event include Maritz in Marlow, a leading performance improvement agency, aimed at increasing business performance through people, and Sytner BMW dealership in High Wycombe.

The Kids in Sport Trust is a fitting reminder of Julian’s ability to spread his infectious enthusiasm and enjoyment of sport to all he came across. To find out more, visit http://www.julianbuddkidsinsport.co.uk/
