Nick Brown, Marketing Executive at Vantis, the UK top 13 accounting, tax and business advisory group, has been appointed Senior Public Relations Support Volunteer with the Royal British Legion.
Nick will work alongside the charity’s in-house PR team to help generate awareness for various initiatives, including the Poppy Appeal.
Based at Vantis’ London City office in St John Street, Nick says: “I really wanted to use my marketing skills to benefit others, and am delighted to work with the Royal British Legion, whose work I greatly respect. I am very much looking forward to helping such a worthwhile cause, as well as being able to learn so much from one of the world’s most well known charities.”
Elvira Soria, the Royal British Legion’s Regional Fundraising Manager for London, comments: “Volunteers are an integral part of the Royal British Legion and are vital to the success of the Poppy Appeal. Last year, we raised over £2.8m across London and could not have done this without our army of collectors, but we also need other types of volunteers to help us organise and get ready for the Appeal too. Nick's volunteer role helping us with PR and marketing is a really important one for us and we're really glad he's on board!"
