Congratulations to Charles Dampney who has completed the 320 mile bike ride through Northern France and England in The Big Battlefield Bike Ride which took place from 26 May to 1 June 2008.
Vantis was very proud to sponsor Charles as he attempted to raise as much money as possible for Help for Heroes - the charity in aid of which this bike ride took place. Help for Heroes is dedicated to helping our seriously injured servicemen and women coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Charles was a member of the institutional sales team of Charles Stanley when Vantis floated on AIM in 2002. He is currently Corporate Broker at City Capital Corporation Limited, a boutique investment house in the City. In keeping with this theme, Charles cycled the length of the race dressed in suitable 'City attire' - a suit and a bowler hat!
In previous years, Charles has successfully completed a number of charitable walks including ‘Le Walk’ through the Channel Tunnel, trekking up Mount Kinabalu in Borneo and the Hannibal Challenge in the French Alps.
