Vantis this week presented local charity Iain Rennie Hospice at Home with a cheque for £500 - the amount Vantis’ Beaconsfield office saved by sending electronic Christmas cards instead of printed cards.

Looking to help bring Christmas cheer to patients and their families at the Beaconsfield and Tring based hospice over the festive period, staff at Vantis’ office in Station Road, Beaconsfield, also organised a collection from members of the public as they were welcomed into the office with wine and mince pies during the Beaconsfield Festival of Lights on December 10.

In addition Ian Hewitt, Client Partner of Vantis, was delighted to present the hospice with the donations collected from his staff at the Beaconsfield office in exchange for sweets in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Ian Hewitt and Liz Clarke, Head of Fundraising for Iain Rennie Hospice at Home (IRHH), even put their Santa hats on for the occasion.

Ian Hewitt commented, “It has been a privilege to support IRHH during the Christmas season, as their staff work harder than ever to care for patients and their families in the Beaconsfield and Thames Valley area. I’m delighted to say that many of our clients in the region have already expressed their appreciation of our decision to send e-cards this Christmas and donate the savings to this worthy cause.”

The total donation of £575 will fund the salary of a hospice nurse over the Christmas week to provide patient care. Liz Clarke said: “I would like to say a big thank you to Vantis for their support in using this innovative way to raise money over the festive period. Times are tough at the moment, and as a charity we are expecting our economic support to decline, so it’s fantastic that Vantis has chosen to make a donation in this way - we are really delighted!”

IRHH was nominated by Vantis as their chosen charity in recognition of the care it provides to people in the area.
