AIM listed business advisory, taxation and accountancy firm, Vantis, has announced the appointment of two senior level advisers, Mark Taylor and Brad Johnson.
Taylor joins Vantis after 20 years with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), most recently as a Senior Financial Investigator and Inspector of Taxes in the Criminal Investigations, Restraint and Confiscation Unit. His skills will strengthen Vantis’ Tax Investigations & Enquiries team and his knowledge of law enforcement and proceeds of crime issues will help bolster Vantis Business Recovery Services’ position as court appointed receivers and expand the breadth of service the company is able to offer.
Johnson has been appointed as a senior VAT manager and brings with him 17 years’ experience in the area of VAT, eight of them with the now HMRC, as well as nine years at Chiltern plc. He will complement the Vantis portfolio of value-adding services by advising on VAT from a planning perspective, and on compliance and defensive angles across a wide range of VAT issues, including complex property and construction projects and deals, international services, business arrangements for professional advisers and FTSE corporate entities.
Commenting on the new appointments, Roy Faichney, Managing Director of Vantis Tax, says, ‘‘Recruiting Mark and Brad into the company will benefit our clients by adding new dimensions and depth to our value-adding capabilities. Together, they bring approaching 40 years’ experience to our highly specialised teams and we’re delighted to have them both on board.’’
