The Staincliffe Hotel, based in Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, has successfully been sold by the administrators, saving 25 jobs and the future of the business.

Chris Stevens and Ian Vickers, Client Partners from Vantis Business Recovery Services (BRS), a division of Vantis, the UK accounting, tax and business advisory group, were appointed as Joint Administrators on the 28 April 2009.

The administrators appointed Christie + Co to market the hotel for sale.  An offer for the 20 ensuite bedroom, pre-Victorian property was accepted from a local businessman for an undisclosed sum.

Commenting on the case, Chris Stevens said: “We were able to develop a strategy for sale, whilst keeping the Staincliffe Hotel open for trading.  It is a triumph for the business and local community.”
