Vantis, the AIM listed accounting, tax and business advisory group with offices based across the UK to include Marlow and Beaconsfield, recently sponsored the inaugural Kids in Sport Golf Day, helping to raise over £10,000 for the Charity.

The event took place at the Harleyford Golf Club in Marlow on 30 September 2008.

Despite the rain that accompanied the first few holes of play, the day proved a great success, with proceeds going to The Julian Budd Kids in Sport Trust.

Kids in Sport supports children who’s personal circumstances precludes them from enjoying regular sport,  through the provision of sports equipment and kit, coaching, up-grading of facilities and transportation and instruction where required, bringing happiness to so many children who would otherwise have not had the opportunity to truly discover the enjoyment of participating in sport on a regular basis. This includes both able and disabled children.

Twenty one teams took part in this inaugural event and everyone enjoyed the superb Harleyford Course, as well as some excellent golf on the challenging holes.

After the day’s activities, around 100 people, the teams plus guests, enjoyed an excellent meal in the Club House Pavilion, where an Auction raised over £3,600, and a lucky dip raffle raised another £1,500. This all contributed to the grand total of just over £10,000 for Kids in Sport.
