HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has published the research undertaken into the uptake of higher rate tax relief for donations made under the Gift Aid scheme. The report concludes that only 35% of qualifying donors claim higher rate relief.

It is understood that HMRC is reflecting on the results of this research but, as yet, has made no comment regarding any timescale for making changes to the current system.
