A prospective client, MO, was introduced to Vantis a few years ago. MO wanted a second opinion on the merger of two businesses and the subsequent shareholder valuations.
MO was responsible for the day-to-day running of a business he co-owned with his business partner, who also had his own, separate business. The two operations shared characteristics and synergies, and as a result, MO and his partner were considering merging the two companies into one.

Case Study: Succession Planning & Retirement – the realistic way
A client of some 10 years approached us with his plans for retiring from the company he had built up over a 30 year period. The company is involved in publishing business-to-business publications, and the client wished to ensure that his two sons, as well as a highly valued senior employee, had a sound business to take over. The ultimate objective for himself was retirement with sufficient capital for a comfortable living, bearing in mind that the company turnover of circa £1.4 million had not grown in real terms for three years.
