This year, instead of sending cards, Vantis in Marlow have decided to donate our Christmas card budget to charity.
The chosen charity is Ataxia UK, which provides unique services and support to people affected by Ataxia and their families.
Ataxia is a life-limiting, progressive neurological condition. Ataxia means ‘lack of order’, because it gradually makes you lose control of your body. People with ataxia have problems with balance, speech, and co-ordination. This is because parts of the nervous system that normally control co-ordination and balance are affected.
Ataxia gets worse with time, with people becoming entirely dependent on others for all their needs. There is currently no cure.
