Job purpose:
To recommend, plan and implement marketing and sales strategies to drive organic growth and achieve revenue targets for the specified service lines to include Vantis Corporate Finance, Vantis Forensic Accounting & Dispute Resolution and Vantis Restructuring Services. The role will involve developing a close working relationship with the heads of the service lines and key client partners to achieve success, as well as support and promote the Vantis brand.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. New business development and direct marketing
- Suggest viable target clients and routes to marketing, sourcing relevant data as necessary
- Identify new business opportunities and develop marketing strategies for each service line
- Recommend, present and implement new ways of approaching potential clients through various channels, including cold calling and direct mail campaigns
- Arrange new business meetings, drafting sales presentations to be in line with the Vantis brand and the requirements of the service line leaders
- Actively seek to familiarise oneself with the range of services offered by the divisions and understand how to identify client requirements that can be met by these services
- Work with the business unit leaders and marketing team in the development of ideas for new routes to marketing for the existing services
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys
- Manage the content on the website and develop and implement e-marketing campaigns in line with the service line requirements
- Develop and manage direct marketing and email campaigns to generate targeted responses
- Develop tracking and monitoring processes to evaluate and measure effectiveness of campaigns
- Provide a quality control function for the production of tenders and pitches
2. Events & Networking Opportunities
- Source opportunities for the service line representatives to participate in events that will promote the awareness of the service lines and their credentials
- Identify opportunities such as roundtable discussions, speaking opportunities at conferences, sponsorships, surveys for placement in the media etc
- Develop and implement Vantis branded seminar programme to promote services to the appropriate target audience
- Develop and ensure regular communication and networking events to promote capabilities and generate referrals from introducers
- Identify and work with selective introducers to develop joint branded initiatives (seminars etc)
- Manage client, prospect and introducer databases which can be used to identify and generate opportunities
3. Advertising and PR
- Analyse advertising opportunities and propose campaigns where strong ROI is expected
- Negotiate pricing with publishers
- Oversee copywriting and design of ads
- Identify need for production of new marketing collateral and updates to existing materials, overseeing the production thereof
- Identify PR opportunities, working closely with the Communications Manager to develop relationships with journalists and submit press releases
- Strong copy writing skills and proof reading capabilities and knowledge of what makes a good article
- Closely monitor the newspapers and relevant financial journals and trade press to pick up on breaking news stories in order to position Vantis as experts in appropriate areas through the provision of authoritative commentary, letters to the editors and other articles
4. Website and ebriefs
- Review existing online marketing strategy, suggesting and implementing improvements
- Ensure the service line’s website pages continue to rise up the rankings on all major search engines for targeted keywords
- Oversee day-to-day updates and maintenance of the website and the portal (the internal website)
- Recommend and draft copy for ebriefs as required and format them accordingly
5. Reporting
- Review existing data collection systems, suggesting and implementing improvements
- Collate data on clients, enquiries, conversions and website activity
- Present monthly report to Associate Marketing Director, analysing past performance and proposing future activities and direction
- Report on an ongoing and pre-agreed basis to service line heads
- Ensure all marketing and sales activities comply with brand and regulatory requirements
- Co-ordinate technical and brand compliance sign-off for all collateral produced
- 8 years experience of working within a professional services firm, delivering a wide range of sales and marketing activities, with a demonstrable track record of achievement
- A quick learner with an understanding of the requirements of a listed firm
- Strong and proactive approach to ensure that the various service lines get the right exposure to potential targets, introducers and the press
- Strong project management skills and proven successful relationships with senior stakeholders
- Experience in assisting stakeholders to develop marketing and sales strategies and key deliverables
- Ability to communicate confidently, providing support to various levels of leadership
- Ability to liaise with and manage external suppliers as required
- Excellent negotiating and influencing skills
- Superior writing and editing skills
