Insolvency Investigator
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Management of a personal portfolio of Insolvency Investigations
- Reviewing books and records of insolvent individuals and companies
- Obtaining further information by correspondence with accountants, solicitors, directors and other parties involved with insolvent companies and individuals
- Production of good quality reports and letters
- Drafting reports to Department of Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform detailing any misconduct identified
- Establishing avenues for civil recovery through the Insolvency Act 1986 and the Companies Act 1985
- Interviewing bankrupts, directors and other individuals for information
- Drafting briefing notes for Solicitors
- Ensuring recoveries are pursued in a pro-active and cost effective way
- Maintaining an effective diary system to ensure deadlines are met
- Keeping Line Manager informed of progress/potential problems

- Internal and external training provided to enhance technical knowledge and to keep abreast of industry developments/new case law
Other
- Provide full support to colleagues where necessary
- Attend marketing events as required and assist in promotion of the Vantis brand and image
Experience / Qualifications
- The ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Good communication skills
- A basic level of competence in relevant IT systems
- Must be able to work unsupervised where necessary
