Accounting & Advisory Semi Senior
Main duties and responsibilities:-
To support seniors on larger assignments:
- Complete tasks allocated to standard required by senior
- To receive feedback & discuss results with the senior and apply to future assignments.
Run smaller assignments single handily or with junior assistance:
- Complete assignments for managers & supervisors to level required
- Delegate tasks to junior members of staff and review work giving constructive feedback
- Stand as role model for junior members of staff.
To pass professional exams:
- Meet all deadlines and dates set by training company
- Plan study throughout the year producing consistent results above class average
Complete work based learning questions on a consistent and timely basis
Complete and submit timesheets within set deadlines
Effective use of IT including Excel, accounts packages, Outlook and our intranet
Maintain client confidentiality outside the office including on client premises
Experience / Qualifications
Key skills and knowledge:-
Effective communication skills
Asks questions to improve knowledge and checks understanding
Interacts with other departments/professionals in order to complete assignments
Technically up to date
Self motivated to study
Use technical skills to analyse situations and options for changes
Is aware of and communicates budgets and timescales to junior team members
Sets a good example for junior team members
Identifies key issues and options available
Able to organise and manage time efficiently and effectively
Delegates where desirable with clear instructions
Shows enthusiasm and commitment to undertake tasks as required and in particular seeing tasks through to completion
Uses initiative
Takes ownership of appropriate assignments following and working within the planning provided
Understands who the client is through planning and discussion
Delivers quality services to clients
