Experience

• Gavin trained at a Top 10 accountancy firm between 1999 and 2002, progressing to lead audits of clients, varying from small owner managed businesses to charities and listed companies.
  
  
• After qualifying he gained experience in forensic accounting, including a short term secondment to the Serious Fraud Office.
  
  
• Gavin joined Vantis (previously Numerica) Forensic Accounting and Dispute Resolution in 2003, and has progressed to become a Director in the department.
  
  
• Gavin is experienced in acting as an expert witness in both civil and criminal matters.
  
  
• He has been involved in forensic accounting cases across a wide range of industries in relation to contractual, partnership, matrimonial and shareholder disputes, fraud investigations, confiscation orders, warranty claims, business interruption claims, valuations and personal injury and dependency claims.
  
  
• Gavin is experienced in reviewing and preparing critiques on other experts' reports and assisting in the preparation of material for cross examination. He has experience of attending meetings of experts and preparing Joint Statements.
  
  
• Gavin regularly writes articles and gives lectures on topics relevant to forensic accounting.
